:: MPRI Conference
Operation Transformation, along with the Michigan Prisoner Reentry Initiative in Macomb County and the Thumb Region sponsored a Conference called “Coming Together...Creating Safer Communities” on June 26. It was geared to pastors and church leaders, human service providers, community leaders, business owners, family members, and anyone interested in prisoner reentry, with about 140 people in attendance. The information was well-received and speakers included a video greeting from Senators Gilbert and Cropsey, Paula Sadler representing the Governor’s Office of Community and Faith Based Initiatives, Le’Ann Duran from the Michigan Department of Corrections, and Rev. Jim Liske, Pastor of RidgePoint Church in Holland, Michigan. Special thanks to the host facility - Cross Current Church in Kimball.
