Statment of Faith

Operation Transformation, formerly known as Project 2000 of St. Clair County, was established to represent the Body of Christ to the world at large, and specifically St. Clair County in Michigan. We are challenged to carry out the unfinished task of evangelization. Operation Transformation has accepted the following as our foundation.

1. We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, infallible as our rule of faith and
practice. (2 Tim 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21; Is. 55:11; Matt 5:17-18)

2. We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
One in nature, equal in attributes, power and glory. (Is. 40:28; Matt 28:19; Eph. 1:11)

3. We believe in Jesus Christ, who came to earth as the incarnate Son of God, fully God
and fully man. He died a substitutionary death for the sins of the world, shedding his blood as the atonement price. He rose again from the dead and ascended to His place of glory at the Father’s right hand, where He rules as Lord. (Gal. 1:6-9; Acts 4:10-12; 2 Peter 3:9)

4. We believe that man was created in God’s image, was tempted by Satan and rebelled
against God. In this rebellion mankind fell into sin and the condition of separation from
God. Yet, through repentance and personal faith in Jesus Christ, we are forgiven our sins,
reborn by the Holy Spirit, and we become children of God by adoption, receiving the gift
of eternal life. (Acts 17:24-31; John 3:3-8; James 2:14-26; Gen. 1:26)

5. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit to convict of sin, to teach, to guide, to heal, to gift us to worship and serve God, and to make Christ known in the world.
(Acts 1:8; I Cor. 2:4-5; John 15:26-27)

6. We believe the Church is the living Body of Christ consisting of all those who have
entered in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. The Church existsto bring glory to Jesus Christ, to be an united family of faith and love, and to make Christ known to others. (Eph. 4:3-16; I Thess. 1:6-9; I Cor. 12:12-31)

7. We believe in the personal return of Jesus Christ to raise the dead, to judge all men and to full establish His glorious Kingdom. Those who have been reborn in Christ will live
with Him forever. (Mark 13:5-31; John 5:25-29; Acts 1:8-11)

Operation Transformation was birthed out of a movement to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with the world. This was discussed in Lausanne, Switzerland several times.

Our History

Project 2000 of St. Clair County began in 1990 as a collaboration among local pastors and churches with the mission of sharing the Gospel throughout the county by the year 2000. Initially focused on outreach through door-to-door surveys, the effort grew to include seminars, special services, and various community programs. In 1997, it became an official 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, successfully fostering both cooperative church unity and active faith-sharing within the community. By the year 2000, the group sought a broader role within the Blue Water area, extending its influence into civic and educational spheres and rebranding itself as Operation Transformation to reflect its renewed vision of community impact.

In 2002, Rev. Tom Seppo became the full-time Executive Director, leading efforts to strengthen relationships between churches, civic leaders, and community organizations. A generous donation from A.N. Deringer in 2001 provided OT with a permanent home in Port Huron, allowing it to expand its ministries and partnerships. Guided by the vision of “Churches Cooperating for a Changed Community,” OT established a leadership board and five ministry areas—Church, Community, Chaplain, Commerce, and Certification. The organization has since undertaken mission trips, community service projects, mentoring programs, and partnerships with civic groups to address local needs. It continues to unite the church and civic communities through outreach, service, and ethical leadership initiatives such as the Compass Christian Business Alliance.
