What is our purpose?
Matt 22:36-40) “Love God, Love People”
Jesus describes the greatest commandment as a wholehearted love for God with every aspect of one’s being (heart/soul/mind). From this love flows an inseparable second command: to love others with the same care and dignity one desires for oneself. We’ve identified 3 key groups in our area to pour into: Leaders, Marriages, & the Next Generation.
(Matt 25:34-40) “Serve Those In Greatest Need”
We believe that faith without works is dead (James 2:17) & as such OT aims to be at the epicenter of serving the marginalized and hurting in our community. With the challenges our area faces constantly changing, we strive to bring those individuals & organizations who have resources in proximity to those who have the greatest need and creatively adapt to meet those needs in our own area.
(Matt 28:16-20) “Go & Make Disciples”
The natural expression of a life touched by Jesus is to share and spread that same Good News to others. Because of this, OT offers individualized growth and spiritual development through our community-wide Connect Groups and our faith-based Mentoring Program.
(John 17:20-23) “We Are Better Together”
Our community is too big and too diverse for one congregation or organization to transform it. We believe that when the local faith community comes together in a diverse network made up of churches, businesses, organizations, and individuals … the Blue Water Area will flourish!
